Rise of the Robots (RotR) is designed to run on most computers without requiring any software installs. If for some reason the game doesn't work, this page provides several things you can try.

Make sure Java 1.5 is installed

Java 1.5 (also called "Java 5") or better is required in order to run the game. You can freely get a copy of this code from Sun Microsystem's website using the following link or by clicking here.

Make sure you have a current web browser

If you do have a current version of Java and the game still doesn't work, please make sure that you have a current web browser. Current versions of either Firefox or Microsoft's Internet Explorer will work.

If the game still won't work...

If you've tried both of the above and still can't run the game, please send an e-mail to jfalkner@umich.edu. In the e-mail describe your problem and we'll try to fix whatever is going wrong.
